So quite a few songs on multiple lists there, Chasing Cars, Rehab, Crazy In Love, Hey Ya!, Paper Planes, Can't Get You Out Of My Head and Crazy. But did any of these top our charts - anyone like to hazard a guess? Vote on the blog poll!
Also looking at those lists there was a few indy/rock tracks that didn't make our final list.
So here's a quick list of the best performaing indy/rocks songs outside the Top 100:
1. The Strokes – Last Nite #133
The Strokes made rock and guitars popular again. Kaiser Chiefs, Kings of Leon et al have a lot to thank them for.
2. Queens of The Stone Age – No One Knows #146
Topped Triple J's Hottest 100 in 2003 and showed gingers could be hot.
3. Red Hot Chilli Peppers – Californication #175
Probably their best track of the noughties
4. Green Day – American Idiot #181
Too mainstream protest for my liking. Best music days are behind them.
5. Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Gold Lion #197
Shame this great band didn't make the lists - I prefer Maps or Turn Into though...
5. Elbow - One Day Like This #197
If people could listen to the shortlist rather than read it, this song may have made it.
7. Hot Chip - Over and Over #216
Amazing song - would be in my Top 10 or 20 of the Decade.
7. Justice v Simian - We are Your Friends #216
Great track
7. Muse - Supermassive Black Hole #216
Muse were great in the Noughties - travesty none of their tracks did well.
7. Goldfrapp – Ohh La La #216
Consistently good but 216 is about right for them....
7. Klaxons – Gold Skans #216
All a bit OTT but I still loved it! Great vid too.

The big boys (and girls) who missed out
Some more teaser results for you... this time the five big songs/artists who didn't make it:
1. Atomic Kitten - Whole Again (=#104)
This song was a number one hit in 19 countries and is the highest selling song by a girl group this decade. Much to Simon Wright's despair it wasn't good enough to make our final list. An absolute travesty - what's wrong with you people?!?
2. Cheryl Cole - Fight For This Love (=#120)
Many Aussies won't know who the hell Cheryl Cole is.... well she was one of five members of 'Girls Aloud' (huge UK girlband). She's also married to Chelsea and England footballer Ashley Cole and a judge on the 'X factor'.
Her debut single was a massive hit in the UK but not good enough to make our list. She'll be pleased to hear she beat fellow judge Dannii Minogue who's best effort was 'Put The Needle On It' in =133rd place.
3. Kanye West - Gold Digger (=#125)
Mr West failed to make our Top 100 with 'Gold Digger' his best effort at 125. The 2005 hit reached #1 in the US and Australia but only #2 in the UK
4. Shakira - Whenever, Wherever (=#133)
Shakira burst on the western music scene in 2002 with Whenever, Wherever. It reached #1 in 20 countries including Australia (#2 in the UK). It also has the classic line of the decade involving breasts and mountains.
Unfortunately Shakira didn't do too well in our poll with this song her best effort. Her top hit 'Hips Don't Lie' did very badly barely making our top 400.
5. Pussycat Dolls - Don't Cha (=#160)
I'm delighted this piece of trash didn't make our final list. Fast facts for you: It is actually a cover of a song by Tori Alamaze released in 2004 AND it was offered to Paris Hilton and the Sugababes first - both declined.

Voting has closed
For the last two months I've been asking around 50 of my friends what they think the best songs of the last decade have been.
Each week they've patiently endured my voting forms and chase up emails and now its finally come to an end - Voting has closed.
But now you have to wait until New Years Eve to find out who's made the final list and most importantly which song is the best of the 2000s. (I'm such a tease!)
In the meantime I'll send you a out a few hints and details of some of the songs that didn't make the grade.
Starting today with the five songs I'm personally upset didn't make the Top 100.
1. Alcazar - Crying at the Discotheque (=#104)
This bizarre song from Swedish eurotrash band Alcazar reached the dizzying heights of #13 ont the UK charts in Dec 2001 (#14 in Oz). The band split in 2005 but thankfully reformed and now regularly appear at G-A-Y.
It's done remarkably well on our chart - I have no idea why... I don't have THAT many gay friends do I? errr....
Best thing about this song is the bizarre video involving dancing animal masks. The eagle is my fave!
2. The Streets - Fit But You Know It (=#104)
How this didn't make the Top 100 I do not know! My favourite Mike Skinner track reached #4 in the UK charts in 2004 and #18 on Triple J's Hottest 100 (Brit people if you don't know about Triple J's Hottest 100 - look it up here)
Video also perfectly sums up the British summer holiday abroad (well for 'certain' types of people anyway)
3. Toploader - Dancing In The Moonlight (=#120)
Much to my dismay but to Mike Hurst's joy this King Harvest cover from 2001 (2002 in Australia) failed to make the Top 100.
Though it does kind of remind me of an ex who was a bit of a tool so perhaps its a good thing!
Can't embed the video but you can find it on youtube
4. Dandy Warhols - Bohemian Like You (=#148)
When this was first released it failed to make the UK Top 40. However after a Vodafone advert (and a Holden Astra ad in Australia) this rocketed up to #5. (SELL OUTS!)
It's also got a great vid - hula hoops, female mechanics and karaoke! (Though my fave bit is the 'so-so' hand gestures)
5. Keane - Everybody's Changing (=193)
In 2004 the album charts were all about Scissor Sisters, Maroon 5 and East Sussex 'piano rockers' Keane. Unfortunately Keane failed to get a single song in the Top 100 list (unlike M5 and SS - hint!). Which is a shame because this song is a gem.
Not a bad video either - the best bit being when chubby faced lead singer, Tom Chaplin, is replaced by an Indigenous Australian. Always a good thing.
